Task 1: Speaker Attribution in BT debates

Start: May 21, 2023, midnight

Description: This task deals with speaker attribution in political debates. The task setup is similar to Semantic Role Labelling. Participants first need to detect cue words that trigger a speech event and then identify the roles for each event.

Task 2: Speaker Attribution in news articles

Start: July 1, 2023, midnight

Description: This task deals with speaker attribution in news articles. The task setup is somewhat similar to Semantic Role Labelling. Systems need to identify instances of reported speech, label it form (direct, indirect, ...) and type (speech, though, writing) as well as identify and associate the roles (Source, Addressee, Cue) for each instance.
