> How many teams are asked to submit a paper?

To the hosts, I’ve come to know the field of keystroke verification for the first time through this competition and have learned a lot. Thank you for organizing it.

It says that the top teams are asked to submit a paper. Specifically, how many teams does this refer to?

I would appreciate your response.
Thank you in advance.

Dear YYama,

Many thanks for your message and for your interest in the competition!

We have not established a fixed number of “top teams”, as it depends on the number and quality of submissions received. In any case, in our evaluation we will also take into account the originality and the novelty of the design of the biometric authentication system. Therefore, researchers who are novel to the field are encouraged to participate as well as the more experienced ones.

Moreover, after an internal discussion with the organizers, we have opted to prepare a single summary paper of the competition, in order to collect and compare in a single manuscript all the biometric systems developed within the competition and to maximize the impact of the outcome of the competition. “Top team” participants will be asked to contribute by providing a description of their system and they will be included as co-authors (please refer to this example: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0031320322000905).

We hope that this clarifies your doubts. Please let us know for further doubts.

Many thanks!

Giuseppe, Ruben, and Ruben

Thank you for your reply!
So, it will be considered flexibly, I understand.

By the way, is it a requirement to submit "unconstrained"?

No, there is no requirement. You can freely choose in which task(s) to participate.
