> INSIGHT INTO EVALUATION RULES

Although there are still almost two-thirds of the days to go before the deadline for the first homework, we would like to clarify the evaluation criteria and the material to be delivered.

- The final grade will NOT be tied to the ranking position. Once you pass the thresholds (which we will define according to your results in phase 1 and phase 2 at the end of the competition), you will have access to the maximum score for the performance of your models. The remainder of the grade (plus any extra points for laude) will be calculated according to the quality of the report you hand in.

- Each team member must have successfully made AT LEAST one submission to be evaluated.

- The 3-page report must be written in Calibri, Times New Roman or Arial fonts with a body size of 11, and submitted in .doc or .pdf format to an2dl.competitions@gmail.com.

- The deadline for submitting the report is three days after the end of phase 2 (25/11 at 23:59)

- The email must have ANNDL2022_Homework1 in the subject line and have the following list in the body:
NAME_1: name team member 1
LAST-NAME_1: last name team member 1
STUDENT-ID_1: student ID team member 1
NAME_2: name team member 2 (if any)
LAST-NAME_2: last name team member 2 (if any)
STUDENT-ID_2: student ID team member 2 (if any)
NAME_3: name team member 3 (if any)
LAST-NAME_3: last name team member 3 (if any)
STUDENT-ID_3: student ID team member 3 (if any)
LEADERBOARD_NICKNAME: name of the team in the homework leaderboard

- Attached to the email must be a .zip file (LEADERBOARD_NICKNAME.zip) containing (in addition to the report) your final notebook (final_model.ipynb) or .py file (final_model.py), which, when run on the data we provide, should produce a model with similar performance to your best model on the leaderboard. In addition, you may also attach other material that may help us in the evaluation.

For anyone delivering a document late or delivering a document with different characteristics from those required, or violating the rules regarding the non-use of external data, there will be penalties according to the severity of the violation.

Finally, we would like to point out something very important: the objective of this competition is to put into practice what has been learnt during the lessons and workshops. In other words, the top of the leaderboard is for glory. In the report, it is important that you recount the reasoning, deductions, choices and even failures that led you to the final result.

Corrigendum: The deadline for submitting the report is three days after the end of phase 2 (which is 27/11 at 23:59 and not 25/11 at 23:59).
