Hello guys,
I was wondering how you guys make use of the DEM data? It's the first time that I see this kind of info and I just have no clue about it.
Many thanks for any advice.
Best,
Well, looks like none of the other participants are going to spoil any of their secrets ;-) I cant give you a winning recipe either, but maybe a few general remarks: DEM data gives you elevation information. This is useful since a) certain classes are unlikely to appear at certain elevations (e.g. trees do not grow above a certain height), b) certain classes look different at different elevations (e.g. grassland), and c) local topography (e.g. slopes) can make things appear differently.
