> Topology in real datasets

I want to know, for real datasets, do we need to deduce the topology map based on certain algorithms, and then deduce the causal graph based on the deduced topology map? Our team has tried many methods to deduce the topology map, but judging from the deduced causal graphs, almost all have failed.
